Bac Ninh: Three enterprises proposed for consideration for the 2025 National Quality Award

On the morning of August 14, at the Hall of the Department of Science and Technology, the National Quality Award (GTCLQG) 2025 Preliminary Selection Council of Bac Ninh province held a meeting to review the results of the application evaluation and propose a list of organizations and enterprises eligible to receive this year's award.

The National Quality Award, presented annually by the Prime Minister, honors organizations and enterprises with outstanding achievements in improving product and service quality, competitiveness and contributions to society. Established in 1996, this award applies the model and criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award (USA), and is part of the Asia- Pacific International Quality Award system.

The National Quality Award criteria include 7 categories: Leadership role, Operational strategy, Customer and market orientation policy, Measurement, analysis and knowledge management, Human resource management, Operational process management and Operational results.

In 2025, three enterprises registered to participate in the award, including: Bac Giang LGG Garment Corporation Joint Stock Company, LS Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd. and PTK VIETNAM Joint Stock Company. During the meeting, the Council reviewed important reports of enterprises such as general introduction reports, self-assessment reports according to 7 National Quality Award criteria, documents proving the application of advanced quality management systems, documents proving that products meet standards, environmental impact assessment reports and annual monitoring results for 3 years (2022, 2023, 2024), as well as results of tax obligations and social insurance regimes for 3 years, and other documents on production and business results for the period 2022 - 2024.

Based on the report of the Evaluation Expert Group and the discussions of the members, the Preliminary Council unanimously proposed that the National Council consider awarding the National Quality Award 2025 to the above three enterprises. These enterprises fully meet the award criteria, apply advanced quality management systems, comply with the law, produce standard products, and actively contribute to the community and socio-economic development.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trieu Ngoc Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Preliminary Selection Council, emphasized that the National Quality Award is a prestigious award, selected according to a strict process. He acknowledged the proactive efforts of enterprises during the participation process, and requested units to continue reviewing and highlighting outstanding achievements, especially in criteria such as digital transformation, green and clean production, sustainable growth and contribution to the budget as well as the community. Enterprises need to continue to coordinate closely with the Department of Science and Technology to complete the dossier before submitting it to the National Council.

In the coming time, the Department of Science and Technology will continue to accompany and support businesses in applying advanced management tools and systems, helping to optimize production efficiency, improve competitiveness and affirm the position of Bac Ninh businesses in the integration process.
