Bac Ninh spends nearly 5.2 billion VND to reward achievements in national and international competitions

According to the decision, the Provincial People's Committee will reward students who won gold medals at the 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) with 500 million VND; teachers of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who participated in training excellent students who won gold medals with 500 million VND; and management staff of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted with 25 million VND.

Nguyen Huu Tien Hung, Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, won the gold medal at the 2024 International Chemistry Olympiad and will receive a prize of 500 million VND.

The students who won bronze medals at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) were awarded 200 million VND; the teachers of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who participated in training excellent students who won bronze medals were awarded 200 million VND; and the management staff of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted were awarded 10 million VND.

Rewarding students who won bronze medals at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) with 50 million VND; teachers of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who participated in training excellent students who won bronze medals with 50 million VND; and managers of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted with 2.5 million VND.

Rewarding 3 students from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who are official members of the Vietnamese team competing in the regional Olympiad in physics and the international Olympiad in mathematics and chemistry. Of which, 1 student competing in the regional Olympiad will be rewarded 20 million VND, 2 students competing in the international Olympiad will be rewarded 50 million VND/student.

In addition, 79 students of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted won prizes in the national high school competition for excellent students in the 2023-2024 school year, of which 11 students won first prize with 50 million VND/student, 22 students won second prize with 25 million VND/student.

Awarded 37.5 million VND to 1 second prize winner who is an ethnic minority, 15 million VND to 28 third prize winners, and 10 million VND to 17 consolation prize winners.

The Provincial People's Committee also decided to reward the collective of teachers of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who participated in training the team with students winning prizes in the national high school excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year and the collective of management staff of Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted who participated in directing the national, regional and international excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year.
