Bac Ninh calls for a minimum of 6.5 billion VND to support the Cuban people

On August 28, the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee Office, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and other agencies and organizations to launch a program to support the Cuban people. The program aims to mobilize at least 6.5 billion VND to provide food, necessities and support sustainable humanitarian activities, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.

The program responds to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , lasting until October 16, 2025.

At the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha, Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, acknowledged the proactive role of the Provincial Red Cross Society in coordinating the implementation of the program. She suggested that the Society continue to promote its core role, act as a focal point in humanitarian activities, inherit and spread the spirit of initiative and creativity. In addition, it is necessary to strengthen coordination with the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, unions, agencies, schools and enterprises, diversify forms of mobilization, and promote the application of digital technology to ensure publicity, transparency and efficiency.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha also called on the Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, business communities and people of Bac Ninh to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, humanity, and contributing according to conditions and capabilities. News agencies, newspapers and digital media platforms actively promote and promptly and vividly reflect on the program, helping all classes of people, especially the young generation, understand, appreciate and continue the Vietnam - Cuba solidarity, turning awareness into action, and feelings into responsibility to the community.

As of 3:00 p.m. on August 28, 120 groups and individuals in the province had registered to donate a total of VND 2 billion 268 million.

From August 28 to October 16, 2025, benefactors can send support to the Cuban people through the Bac Ninh Provincial Red Cross:
