
The Civil Defense Command of Bac Ninh province issued a telegram to withdraw the third alarm on the Cau River (at the Phuc Loc Phuong and Dap Cau hydrological stations). The above telegram was based on the situation, at around 3:00 a.m. on October 12, the water level on the Cau River at the Phuc Loc Phuong and Dap Cau hydrological stations had dropped below the third alarm level (corresponding to water levels ≤8.00m and <6.30m).
Accordingly, at 7:30 a.m. on October 12, the water level on the Thuong River at Cau Son hydrological station fell below alert level 2 (equivalent to water level ≤ 15.00m). The Bac Ninh Provincial Civil Defense Command also simultaneously withdrew alert number II on the Thuong River (at Cau Son hydrological station).

Water on the river banks of Cau and Thuong rivers continued to fall. On the morning of October 12, on Cau river at K0 left dike Cau (old Hoa Son commune), the water level quickly receded to 4.5m, at K9+400 (Dai Mao village area - Hop Thinh commune) it receded to 3.5m, at K32+200 (at Dong Xuyen bridge) it receded to 2.5m. On Thuong river, at Km0 right dike Thuong (Cua Song village), the water level decreased 1.8m compared to the flood peak...
However, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bac Ninh province continues to warn of the risk of major landslides. Localities need to closely coordinate with dike management forces, strengthen patrols and guard the dikes to promptly handle dike incidents such as erosion, landslides, and culverts under the dikes.
