Provincial Traffic Safety Committee deploys tasks for the third quarter and the last months of the year

On August 28, the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee held an online conference to review the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy tasks for the third quarter and the last months of 2025. Comrade Duong Cong Vi, Director of the Department of Construction and Comrade Le Dang Khoa, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department co-chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were leaders of departments, branches and sectors; representatives of traffic safety committees at 65 commune and ward connection points in the area.

According to the report at the conference, since the beginning of the year, the province has had 248 traffic accidents, killing 55 people and injuring 237 people. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of accidents decreased by 57 cases (down 18.7%), 6 deaths (down 9.8%) and 39 injuries (down 14.1%). There were no particularly serious traffic accidents in the province.

The authorities have proactively developed and implemented specialized plans, increased inspections and handling of violations of alcohol and drug levels by drivers. At the same time, the authorities have closely coordinated in implementing traffic diversion and regulation plans to ensure traffic order and safety. Thereby, over 14,000 violations have been detected and handled.

Besides, the management and maintenance of traffic infrastructure, handling of black spots and potential traffic accident spots continue to be focused on by the units.

Leaders of the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police Department made recommendations and proposals.

At the conference, delegates clarified the limitations and difficulties in ensuring traffic safety. At the same time, they proposed many solutions to ensure traffic order and safety such as: strengthening patrols, strictly handling violations; focusing on disseminating traffic safety regulations to people, especially in rural areas; implementing management and preventing acts of encroachment on traffic safety corridors.

In the coming time, the province will continue to improve the two-level traffic safety committee to ensure effective operation. Provincial departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes, wards and related agencies and units will continue to seriously, resolutely and effectively implement plans to ensure traffic order and safety; strengthen patrolling, controlling and strictly handling violations; speed up the implementation of investment projects to build traffic infrastructure, especially key projects. At the same time, effectively implement the decentralized traffic infrastructure maintenance work, advise on removing obstacles in eliminating self-opened paths across railways...
