The Steering Committee for the Construction and Development of the Danang City Financial Center held its first meeting.

DNO - On the afternoon of January 7, the Steering Committee for the Construction and Development of the Da Nang City Financial Center (referred to as Steering Committee 47) held its first meeting on a number of tasks that need to be focused on in the coming time. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation, Head of Steering Committee 47 Nguyen Van Quang chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the representative of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee announced Decision No. 13111-QD/TU dated January 3, 2025 of the Da Nang City Party Committee on the establishment of the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center.

Accordingly, Central Party Committee member, City Party Secretary, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang is the Head of the Steering Committee.

Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh is the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee. Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh and Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang are the Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee. Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh is the Standing Member of the Steering Committee.

At the same time, the representative of the Party Committee of the City People's Committee announced Decision No. 01-QD/BCĐ dated January 3, 2025 of Steering Committee 47 on the establishment of a Working Group to assist the Steering Committee for the construction and development of the Da Nang City Financial Center. Accordingly, the Head of the Working Group is the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

The Director of the Department of Planning and Investment is the Standing Deputy Head; the Director of the Department of Finance is the Deputy Head; the Director of the Institute for Socio -Economic Development Research of Da Nang is the Standing Member.

The members are: Chief of the Office of the City Party Committee, Head of the Urban Committee of the City People's Council, Head of the Legal Committee of the City People's Council, Head of the Cultural - Social Committee of the City People's Council, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the City People's Council, Chief of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the City People's Council; Directors of the following departments: Home Affairs, Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Information and Communications, Construction, Justice, Science and Technology, Industry and Trade, Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs,

Chief of Office of the City People's Committee, Director of Danang University, Director of the City Tax Department, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam City Branch, Director of the Investment Promotion and Support Board, Deputy Director of the City Police in charge of security, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Danang City Military Command,

Deputy Chief of the City Party Committee Office in charge of economic sector, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, Deputy Chief of the City People's Committee Office in charge of economic sector, Deputy Chief Justice of the City People's Court,

Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee, Chairman of Son Tra District People's Committee, Vice Principal of University of Economics (University of Danang), Head of Economic Security Department, City Police, Head of Immigration Management Department, City Police.

The task of the Working Group is to advise and assist Steering Committee 47 in concretizing and fully and comprehensively implementing Conclusion Notice No. 47-TB/TW dated November 15, 2024 of the Politburo, the Government's resolution on promulgating the Action Plan to implement Conclusion Notice No. 47-TB/TW and the Plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on implementing Conclusion Notice No. 47-TB/TW to ensure progress and effectiveness; preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and news agencies to organize propaganda work on the deployment and organization of the implementation of Conclusion Notice No. 47-TB/TW and the activities of Steering Committee 47.

At the same time, preside over and coordinate with members of Steering Committee 47 to advise on preparing content, documents, record meeting minutes and ensure administrative and logistical work for Steering Committee 47 meetings; fully inform members of Steering Committee 47, relevant departments, branches and sectors about the program, plan, conclusions of the Standing Committee of Steering Committee 47 and other activities related to Steering Committee 47.

The first session focused on the following contents: draft plan of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on implementing Conclusion Notice No. 47-TB/TW; draft assignment of tasks to members of Steering Committee 47; draft plan to organize the workshop "Developing an International Financial Center in Vietnam".
