In 2024, the industrial production index of the entire industry is estimated to increase by 17.6% over the same period last year (decreased by 21.8% in 2023), of which the mining industry increased by 14.3% over the same period, the processing and manufacturing industry is estimated to increase by 20%, the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning decreased by 3.2%, the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 7.8%.
Accumulated for the whole year of 2024, some industrial products grew significantly compared to the same period last year, such as construction stone reaching 321.8 thousand tons (up 60.8%); fresh water is estimated at 312 million liters (up 6.8%); tire cord fabric reached 61.7 million square meters (up 63.1%); cotton woven fabric with a cotton content of 85% or more reached 2,759 thousand square meters (up 27.8%); occupational clothing reached 4,748 thousand pieces (up 406.9%)...
Up to now, Quang Nam has attracted 379 projects registered for investment in 53 industrial clusters with a total registered investment capital of over 15,872.06 billion VND, and a total number of workers registered for the project of 67,830 people. 39/53 industrial clusters in operation have an occupancy rate of 50% or more.
During the year, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in 2024 is estimated to reach nearly 72.6 trillion VND (up 7.4% over the same period in 2023). Of which, travel services have the highest growth rate (up 55.4%); accommodation and catering services have the second highest growth rate (up 11.8%); other service revenue and retail sales of goods have growth rates of 8.3% and 6%, respectively.
The import-export turnover in 2024 of enterprises in Quang Nam is estimated to reach more than 5,012 million USD (an increase of 23.4% over the same period in 2023).
