Business meeting - driving force for development
Every year, Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day on October 13 becomes an important occasion for localities to honor the contributions of the business community. In Vinh Long , the Provincial People's Committee organized a meeting with the participation of more than 300 entrepreneurs and representatives of typical businesses. The meeting not only reviewed traditions but also served as a forum for businesses to propose development solutions, from improving management capacity to expanding markets. These ideas are expected to contribute to boosting local GRDP growth, while promoting innovation associated with digital transformation.

In Can Tho City, VCCI Mekong Delta Branch organized an event with the theme “Mekong Delta Entrepreneurs - Building Enterprises in the Digital Age”, creating opportunities for businesses to meet leaders, exchange experiences in digital transformation, and apply technology in management and production. The meeting also emphasized the pioneering role of entrepreneurs in international integration and sustainable development.
Other provinces also have outstanding initiatives. In Tay Ninh, the People's Committee of Tan Ninh Ward organized a meeting with businessmen and deployed the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in management and business. The application of AI helps businesses optimize processes, improve productivity and reach customers more effectively.
In Dong Thap, young entrepreneurs are pioneers in innovation, both developing high-quality agricultural products and applying digitalization in supply chain management and product consumption.
An Giang focuses on applying high technology in agricultural production and processing, improving quality, reducing costs and expanding markets. Meanwhile, Ca Mau businessmen combine profits with sustainable development, investing in clean technology, saving energy and protecting the environment.
These activities are not only a ceremonial gesture, but also demonstrate the determination to motivate entrepreneurs to develop in the digital age. The meetings become a place to connect, exchange experiences and form a common development strategy for the Southern business community. From Vinh Long to Ca Mau, Southern entrepreneurs are proactively integrating, innovating and asserting their position in the context of global digital transformation.
Entrepreneurs ride the digital wave
In the digital age, Vietnamese entrepreneurs are no longer just business leaders but also trendsetters, proactively grasping and mastering technology. Many domestic digital technology enterprises have achieved billions of dollars in revenue, making an important contribution to the software and information technology services industry.

However, to achieve this progress, entrepreneurs still face great challenges: lack of high-quality human resources, cybersecurity risks, and pressure to restructure traditional businesses. This is especially evident in the southern provinces, where many businesses are small-scale, have limited capital, and digital management skills are not yet synchronized. The industry chain is still loose, making the process of applying technology to production and management slower than in other regions.
According to experts, in the current context, Southern businessmen need to focus on key tasks to overcome the digital wave. First of all, improving internal capacity and training digital human resources is the foundation. At the same time, cooperating with research institutes and universities, developing smart management models, applying synchronous technology, building data systems, analyzing customers and automating production, in which AI and Big Data play a central role, are key solutions.
In addition, building a network connecting businesses, associations, governments and banks will form a digital ecosystem, facilitating experience sharing and value chain connection.
Innovative entrepreneurs not only steer their businesses through challenges, but also create development trends, bringing Vietnamese businesses to regional and international status. Southern provinces, with digital transformation initiatives, are gradually forming a dynamic, creative and sustainable business community.
This year’s Vietnamese Entrepreneurs’ Day, October 13, is not only an occasion to honor achievements, but also a strong message about the spirit of innovation, creativity and adaptation to the digital age of Southern entrepreneurs. They are the ones who create opportunities, open new directions for the local economy, and at the same time affirm the mettle and position of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the international arena.
