Having studied literature, being an excellent student of literature in Thai Binh , Vu Tran Anh Thu chose to pursue a career in accounting, economics and living in Hanoi. However, she still writes poetry, leaving the harshness of the business world outside.

The poetry collection “The Fragrant Morning Sunlight” published by the Writers Association Publishing House consists of 176 pages divided into 5 parts, all with very suggestive names, glowing in a bright green color: “The link of the morning”, “The farther away the moon is, the more I miss it”, “The sound of rain evokes a distant subconscious”, “Is it possible to isolate emotions”, “Missing a day because of suffocating love”.

At the book launch on March 23 in Hanoi , poet Vu Tran Anh Thu shared that the poetry collection “Ban mai thom mat nang” was written in the 1-2-3 verse form initiated by poet Phan Hoang, which has been a new trend in recent years. This is also the careful and cherishing of each word to give to oneself and to bring to life a spiritual gift filled with faith and hope.
In the introduction, poet and translator Nguyen Chi Hoan analyzed and opened the collection of poems with a series of “green” images – all conveying diverse, fresh impressions, spreading everywhere, and fertile vitality; concluding, right before a promise of a heart of “always love”, is the image of a beach at dawn, with no one in sight, with “layers of pristine sand” standing out. That view, with a clear emphasis on the two words “pure”, reveals the main source of inspiration for 123 poems that are like moments of the author’s soul spreading out.

Regarding the collection of poems, literary critic Nguyen To expressed: “Thu leaves green footprints in strange lands, and when passing through, nostalgia surges up with love and affection. The poet passes by, the feelings remain. Therefore, Thu’s cultural map is layered. There are Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Moc Chau Plateau, Northwest mountains and forests, Grand Canyon sunset, Huong River, Hue folk songs, Tuy Hoa rain, Nhan Mountain, barefoot on Hon Dau Island, dreamy Bac Son… But wherever Thu goes, she still misses her village. Poets, no matter what era, always carry the feelings of their homeland.”
Poet Dinh Tien Hai commented, “Ban mai thom mat nang” is a beautiful collection of poems in form, dense and impressive in content. Under the artistic eyes of Vu Tran Anh Thu, all the beauty of nature is revealed to the fullest. It can be said that the collection of poems brings the aesthetic sense of beauty of nature and people.
This is a rare collection of poems by a female author that does not contain tears, but mainly focuses on beauty, fullness, and happiness. Because of its rich musicality, many of this author's poems have been set to music.
