DNVN - At the opening ceremony of SURF 2025 on July 30, StartupBlink Organization awarded Da Nang a certificate as one of the 12 most dynamic startup ecosystems in the world and the fastest growing in Vietnam in 2025.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Danang Innovation and Startup Festival (SURF) 2025 (SURF 2025) with the theme "Policy Launchpad - Nurturing Unicorns", Vice Chairman of the Danang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that this is not just an event but an aspirational journey, where "policy launchpads" meet breakthrough ideas to "nurture unicorns".

After many years of organization, SURF has become an important annual event, prestigious in the national and international innovation community. SURF 2025 continues to affirm Da Nang's position as a center for promoting innovation, technology application and startups in the Central Highlands and Vietnam in general.

Mr. Ho Quang Buu said that the efforts to develop the startup ecosystem in recent times have been bringing remarkable results to Da Nang. The city has been honored as an "Attractive City for Startups" for 4 consecutive years, ranking 5th in the country in the local innovation index in 2024. Notably, in 2025, Da Nang entered the Top 1,000 cities with typical startup ecosystems globally for the first time, according to StartupBlink's assessment.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang, Pham Ngoc Sinh, the journey of "Policy Launch Pad - Nurturing Unicorns" of SURF 2025 is marking the strong rise of the city's startup ecosystem on the international map. Da Nang is proud to have made a spectacular breakthrough, rising 130 places on the Global Startup Ecosystem Index 2025.
