The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee gave opinions on the contents presented at the 22nd session of the 8th Provincial People's Council.

This afternoon, December 18, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to give opinions on the contents submitted to the 22nd session of the 8th Provincial People's Council and some other contents under its authority. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Quang Tung chaired the meeting. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the Provincial Party Committee reviewed and gave opinions on the investment policy for the coastal road project through the Cua Tung and Cua Viet bridges; adjusted the investment policy for the Provincial Party Committee headquarters project and agencies phase 1; adjusted the investment policy for the site clearance project to upgrade and expand National Highway 9 from National Highway 1 to Cua Viet port; adjusted the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 using central budget capital and adjusted the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025 using capital managed by the provincial level.

After listening to the report of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the discussion and comments of the delegates, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed to have the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee submit the above contents to the Provincial People's Council. In particular, the coastal road project through the Cua Tung and Cua Viet bridges will be implemented according to the plan of completing Cua Tung bridge first, if there are resources, some components of Cua Viet bridge will be implemented. The Provincial People's Committee is responsible for reviewing and completing related plans before implementing these items.

Regarding the adjustment of the investment policy of the GPMB Project to upgrade and expand National Highway 9 from National Highway 1 to Cua Viet Port, the Provincial Party Committee agreed in principle to let the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee work with the Ministry of Transport to complete the procedures, then submit it to the Provincial People's Council.

Regarding the content of adjusting the investment policy for the project of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters and agencies, phase 1, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed to let the Provincial People's Committee approve the project, but it is necessary to clarify the capital source and reasonable allocation roadmap.

The Provincial Party Committee agreed to reduce 50 billion VND from the Medium-term Public Investment Plan for the 2021-2025 period of the Provincial Party Committee headquarters and agencies project, phase 1, and use this amount to build a road connecting the two ends of the Hieu River cable-stayed bridge.

Agree to use local budget capital from the GPMB Project's GPMB source to upgrade and expand National Highway 9 from National Highway 1 to Cua Viet port to build Gio Hai Kindergarten (facility 2) and Gio Hai Primary and Secondary School (facility 2), Gio Linh district to meet national standards.

The Provincial Party Committee requested the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to review and rearrange projects using the central budget (using foreign capital) to suit current practical conditions.
