Tien Linh is no longer the top scorer of V-League
According to initial statistics, striker Nguyen Tien Linh won the V-League's co-top scorer title, with 14 goals, along with strikers Alan Grafite (CAHN Club) and Lucao do Break ( Hai Phong Club).
However, according to the latest announcement from Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), Tien Linh will no longer be the top scorer. The reason is that out of the 14 goals scored by this striker, 1 goal was not counted because it was an own goal of the opponent.

Specifically, after reviewing the tournament's professional data, the tournament organizers decided to reduce Tien Linh's goal by 1. That was the goal scored in the 90+3 minute of the match between Binh Duong Club and Hai Phong Club (round 25 of V-League). Initially, the goal was counted for Tien Linh. However, after reviewing the video, the organizers counted it as an own goal from a clearance by defender Bui Tien Dung (Hai Phong).
Thus, Tien Linh only has 13 goals left. He is still the domestic top scorer, but this is not an official title, but only symbolic.
The V-League top scorer title will be awarded to strikers Lucao (Hai Phong) and Alan (CAHN Club) at the V-League Award ceremony, taking place on July 1 in Hanoi .
The decision in the extra minute of the organizing committee prevented Tien Linh from winning the V-League top scorer title for the first time in his career.
The striker born in 1997 started the season well with 7 goals in 8 matches. However, Tien Linh could not maintain his form. In the next 10 matches, the 28-year-old striker only scored 1 more goal. Tien Linh only returned at the end of the season, thus leveling the gap with the foreign duo Lucao and Alan.
However, with the decision to reduce the number of goals from the organizers, Tien Linh will have to wait longer to add the V-League top scorer title to his personal record.
