FIFA Club World Cup 2025™: Brazilian Football Dominates

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ group stage concluded on June 27, with the eight round of 16 ties confirmed.

In an incredible achievement, all four Brazilian clubs (Fluminense, Flamengo, Palmeiras and Botafogo) representing South American football at the Club World Cup made it to the round of 16. The two Argentine giants, River Plate and Boca Juniors, were eliminated early.

Brazilian football is also guaranteed to have at least one representative in the quarter-finals, when Palmeiras and Botafogo meet in the round of 16, starting at 11pm on June 28. The winner will face Chelsea or Benfica (3am on June 29, Vietnam time). In the same bracket, another Brazilian representative, Fluminense, will meet Inter Milan (Italy) at 2am on July 1.

Meanwhile, the remaining Asian representative in the round of 16 is Al Hilal Club, facing the giant Man.City (8am on July 1). This will be a challenge and also an opportunity for Brazilian clubs to cause a shock in this bracket to have a representative in the semi-finals.

Because in the remaining bracket, the 4th representative of Brazil, Flamengo FC, will face Bayern Munich (3am on June 30). The winning team will advance to the quarterfinals to meet PSG or Inter Miami of the famous player Messi (11pm on June 29). In the same bracket considered as "death", Real Madrid will also face Juventus at 2am on July 2, with the winning team facing Dortmund or Monterrey of Mexico at 8am on July 2, in the quarterfinals.

Messi's Inter Miami team and the remaining two representatives from Asia and CONCACAF, Al Hilal and Monterrey, are considered the weakest in the "death" bracket.
