Focus on thoroughly handling dengue fever outbreaks

Cu M'gar Medical Center said that as of July 28, 2025, the area had recorded 16 dengue fever outbreaks with 329 cases, no deaths. Of which, Cuor Dang commune is the locality with the highest number of dengue fever cases in the area, with over 200 cases.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Huynh Le Xuan Bich worked with Cu M'gar Medical Center to propose solutions to promptly control dengue fever epidemic in the area.

To proactively respond to the complicated developments of dengue fever, since the beginning of the year, Cu M'gar Medical Center has focused on propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness of dengue fever prevention and control; at the same time, implementing a general environmental sanitation campaign, killing mosquito larvae; organizing chemical spraying at outbreaks, especially in areas with a large number of cases.... Therefore, up to now, 16/16 dengue fever outbreaks in the area have been handled, of which 12 outbreaks have ended.

Previously, a working delegation of the Provincial Department of Health led by Deputy Director of the Department of Health Huynh Le Xuan Bich had a working session with Cu M'gar Medical Center to find out the cause of the outbreak of dengue fever cases as well as discuss solutions to promptly control the epidemic and protect the health of local people.

Deputy Director of the Department of Health Huynh Le Xuan Bich requested the Cu M'gar Health Center to direct commune health stations to quickly advise local authorities to establish a Steering Committee for dengue fever prevention and control; at the same time, effectively maintain shock teams to destroy mosquito larvae, prevent and control dengue fever at the grassroots level; and immediately deploy response and intervention activities in a quick, synchronous and comprehensive manner.

Focus on mobilizing departments, organizations, and households to join hands in environmental sanitation activities, eradicating mosquito larvae; early detection of cases, localization and thorough treatment of outbreaks in accordance with regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Health ; improving treatment capacity for medical staff at all levels and preparing a stock of medicines and supplies ready to respond to the situation of increased dengue fever epidemic in the locality.
