Reporter: Dear comrade, the Vietnam Revolutionary Press has turned 100 years old. Could you please share the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee on the role of the Bac Kan provincial press in the general revolutionary cause, especially in the local development in recent times?

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen:

Over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese revolutionary press has always accompanied the nation's revolutionary cause, being the vanguard force on the ideological and cultural front. In Bac Kan, press agencies such as Bac Kan Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station have constantly innovated and created, promoting the role of a bridge between the Party, the government and the people; promptly reflecting social life, spreading the spirit of dedication and aspirations for local development.

Bac Kan press has quickly applied digital technology , expanding the media coverage through social platforms. Many events were livestreamed on the Bac Kan Newspaper fanpage, the provincial Radio and Television Station, attracting tens of thousands of views, affirming the trend of modern journalism, close to the people, improving propaganda effectiveness.

After 28 years of re-establishment, Bac Kan province has achieved many outstanding achievements. During that journey, the press has always accompanied and effectively propagated the Party and State's guidelines and policies; encouraged socio -economic development, new rural construction, poverty reduction, environmental protection and preservation of national cultural identity. Thereby, contributing to creating social consensus, strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration.

Reporter: Revolutionary journalism is the vanguard force on the ideological and cultural front. In your opinion, in the current context, what qualities should the team of journalists in Bac Kan province continue to practice and promote to fulfill their role as soldiers on the Party's ideological front?

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen:

In the context of multi-dimensional information, the press needs to maintain political will, professional ethics and a spirit of dedication. Journalists must constantly learn, master technology, improve critical thinking and the ability to detect and propose issues. Being loyal to revolutionary ideals, closely following the principles, and accurately reflecting the nature of events is the way for the press to maintain public trust and affirm its role in protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Journalists need to closely follow reality, stick to the grassroots and the people to create works that are not only correct but also profound, moving and inspiring, contributing to orienting positive values in society.

Reporter: The upcoming merger of the press agencies of the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen will certainly pose many challenges in terms of organization, resources and content. How do you view the need for innovation and adaptation of the press team in this transitional period?

Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen:

The reorganization of press agencies is a major policy, both inevitable and requiring careful preparation to avoid disrupting the flow of information. This consolidation process is not only a challenge but also opens up opportunities for local press to develop more comprehensively, with stronger organizational conditions, more abundant resources, and a more dynamic professional environment.

During this period, each journalist needs to promote a proactive, flexible, open-minded and creative spirit; be ready to learn and adapt to the new working environment and new job requirements. We also determine that at first there will be many difficulties and challenges, but above all, this is also an opportunity for the team of journalists to access a more modern and professional working environment, develop multi-platform skills, from print, radio, television to electronic newspapers and social networks.

I believe that, with proactiveness, openness and innovation, journalists will continuously adapt, be creative, maintain the identity of revolutionary journalism and continue to effectively accompany the development of Bac Kan province in the new administrative model.

I expect that, in the merger model, the strengths, experience and professional spirit of the Bac Kan press team will be promoted and effectively integrated into the new press organization, contributing to the overall development of revolutionary journalism in the period of digital transformation and integration.
