Dan Tri Newspaper and Pickfail signed a cooperation agreement to organize the first pickleball tournament.

As part of a series of events celebrating the 20th anniversary of Dan Tri newspaper (July 15, 2005 - July 15, 2025), the first Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament will kick off and compete on July 5 and 6.

This tournament is organized by Dan Tri newspaper in collaboration with Vietnam Pickleball Forum Service Joint Stock Company, aiming to create an attractive and useful playground for Vietnamese pickleball athletes.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dan Tri newspaper, said that the first Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament in 2025 is a sporting event to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of Dan Tri newspaper.

"Over the past 20 years, Dan Tri newspaper has always strived to provide fast, accurate, humane, and compassionate news in accordance with the newspaper's principles and purposes, and is proud to be one of the leading electronic newspapers in Vietnam.

In addition to professional activities, Dan Tri newspaper has started construction and inaugurated 125 charity houses, more than 150 classrooms and more than 30 bridges named Dan Tri across the country.

Dan Tri Newspaper has also organized many major sporting events that attract people's participation. We just organized the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 tournament in April and are very excited to prepare to organize the first Dan Tri Newspaper Pickleball Tournament this July," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Toan.

At the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Anh, Director of Vietnam Pickleball Forum Service Joint Stock Company also expressed: "We are very pleased to cooperate with Dan Tri newspaper to organize the first Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament.

With experience in organizing many large-scale pickleball tournaments nationwide over the past 2 years, we believe that the tournament will be an attractive playground for many professional and amateur athletes."

According to Mr. Ngoc Anh, the first Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament is expected to have 10 competitions, including 8 for amateur athletes and 2 advanced competitions for professional athletes (including open men's doubles and open women's doubles, with no age or level restrictions).

In particular, the first Dan Tri newspaper pickleball tournament will be held at Happy Land court (Long Bien, Hanoi), which is considered the most modern pickleball court in the North today.

"Happy Land is a pickleball court complex with an area of nearly 10,000 square meters and a capacity of 1,500 people, with a gym to warm up athletes, and hot and cold water to help relax muscles after competition.

At this tournament, we will also use VAR technology to support the referees to ensure accuracy and fairness for the athletes during the competition," added Mr. Tran Khai, representative of Vietnam Pickleball Forum Services Joint Stock Company.
