On September 19th, the water level on the Cau Chay River at the Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station was +7.60 m (0.4 m below the flood warning level).
According to the flood warning on the Cau Chay River issued by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, the water level of the Cau Chay River at the Xuan Vinh Hydrological Station is likely to reach Warning Level I (+8.00m) around 2-4 PM on September 19, 2024. The Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Warning Level I on the Cau Chay River at Xuan Vinh, requesting the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the districts to immediately deploy dike patrols and guarding according to the warning levels. They are also required to inspect, review, and develop plans to ensure the safety of dike structures, especially vulnerable dike sections and culverts under the dikes. Furthermore, they are to proactively implement evacuation plans for residents living in riverside areas.
Maintain a strict 24/7 duty roster, closely monitoring the developments of rain and floods to be ready to handle situations from the very beginning; promptly inform and report to the Standing Office of the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Command and the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue Command.
