Storm No. 5 increases in intensity, forecast to possibly get stronger

(Baothanhhoa.vn) - According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the strongest wind near the storm's center is currently level 14 (150-166 km/h), gusting to level 17 and is likely to strengthen further.

At 7:00 p.m. on August 24, the center of storm No. 5 was at 17.9 degrees North latitude, 109.4 degrees East longitude; about 410 km from Nghe An, about 390 km East Southeast of Ha Tinh , and about 340 km East of North Quang Tri. The storm moved west at a speed of 15-20 km/h and is likely to strengthen.
