
Storm No. 5 made landfall in Ha Tinh from the afternoon to the night of August 25, causing serious damage over a large area, severely affecting the power grid system. A series of medium and low voltage lines and transformer stations were damaged, and fallen trees blocked the power grid, causing widespread power outages in many localities.
That very night, Ha Tinh Power Company (PC Ha Tinh) directed the entire unit to be on standby with 100% of its forces with the motto "4 on-site", urgently inspecting, handling incidents and gradually restoring power supply to customers. Mr. Vu Anh Phuong - Deputy General Director of the Northern Power Corporation was present, directly directing the incident handling work in Ha Tinh.

Mr. Tran Anh Dung - Head of the Thanh Sen Regional Power Management Team said: “Since last night, after the storm gradually subsided, we have organized construction teams to go to the scene, mobilized forces, machinery, and cranes to clear fallen electric poles; checked and handled incidents on the grid to restore power to the people as soon as possible.
By 2:00 a.m. on August 26, the unit had restored power to about 90% of customers in the central area of Thanh Sen ward and key agencies such as the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, and a number of agencies serving flood and storm prevention work...".

Regional power companies: Nghi Xuan, Hong Linh, Can Loc are also areas heavily affected by storm No. 5. Since yesterday morning (August 25), 100% of the military has been mobilized to be on duty at the unit, closely following every weather development, connecting to the provincial command center to deploy incident response work before the storm makes landfall.
As soon as the storm subsided, throughout last night and this morning, units continued to work hard to stay on the grid, organize teams to inspect power lines, transformer stations, and handle incidents to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.


Mr. Tran Quoc Huyen - Head of the Can Loc Regional Power Management Team said: “Due to the impact of the storm, from around 8pm, 65% of the unit's customers lost power. Immediately after the storm, we immediately deployed a plan to fix the problem on the grid with the most urgent goal now being to restore power as soon as possible to people, businesses, production and business units. By early morning on August 26, the unit had repaired and restored power to nearly 7,000 customers.”
From the early morning of August 25, PC Ha Tinh established 5 working groups under the direct direction of the Company's Board of Directors to inspect the extent of damage throughout the area; 12/12 power units organized groups and teams to urgently fix the damaged power lines and poles. Thanks to the great efforts and concentration, by noon on August 26, the company had energized 7 power lines and 7 110kV stations, restoring power supply to many key areas such as: Ky Anh, Vung Ang, Huong Son, Can Loc, Loc Ha (old); at the same time, 14 medium-voltage feeders were put back into operation, bringing the total number of feeders with power to 19 (compared to only 5 feeders with power when the storm first hit).

Faced with the great damage caused by the storm, on the morning of August 26, the Northern Power Corporation and the Central Power Corporation also mobilized 316 officers and workers from the following Power Companies: Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh , Thai Nguyen, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Gia Lai, Da Nang, Hue, along with vehicles, materials and equipment to support PC Ha Tinh to fix the problem.
From this afternoon (August 26), the shock troops will begin to approach and deploy in the areas. With the spirit of being ready to "overcome the sun and win the rain", PC Ha Tinh is determined to restore the power grid as soon as possible to provide stable power to the people and serve socio -economic development.
