Urgent troubleshooting in the storm
As soon as storm No. 5 weakened, leaders of Nghe An Power Company immediately went to the scene to inspect, resolutely directed the assessment of damage and repair and replacement of damaged equipment. Hundreds of officers and employees of Nghe An Power Company were on duty 24/7, regardless of harsh conditions, rain, wind, mud... to restore the power system as soon as possible.

In the localities under the Regional Power Management Team of Vinh, Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, Hung Nguyen, Thanh Chuong... that suffered heavy damage from storm No. 5, Nghe An Power Company has closely coordinated with local authorities and functional forces to ensure safe and effective access and incident handling.

Power restored to the entire province before National Day September 2
With a sense of urgency, responsibility and determination, Nghe An Power Company and shock troops from other Power Companies worked day and night, with the help and support of local authorities, people and military forces. By the morning of August 31, Nghe An Power Company had completed the restoration of 100% of the power grid system.
148/148 damaged medium voltage lines were repaired, replaced with equipment, 6,440/6,440 transformer stations and power was restored to the people of the whole province. The top priority was given to hospitals, medical stations, pumping stations for flood control, disaster prevention and control agencies, police, military, rescue forces and residential areas...

Currently, the leaders of Nghe An Electricity Company have directed their affiliated units to continue to coordinate with groups, villages, and hamlets to review. If there are a few small customers without electricity, they must find out the cause and handle it thoroughly to restore power soon.
Mr. Pham Cong Thanh - Director of Nghe An Electricity Company said: "Electricity officers and employees are racing against time, working day and night to quickly restore power after natural disaster damage. This activity is not only to provide electricity for daily life and production but also to contribute to ensuring security, politics and cultural and social activities on the occasion of the National Day on September 2. This is the responsibility, the political task and also the sentiment of the Electricity industry towards the people of the province".

Proactively prevent and combat natural disasters, be ready to respond
Faced with the complex weather conditions during the rainy and stormy season, Nghe An Power Company has developed specific plans to prevent and combat natural disasters, and at the same time, organized drills to respond to power grid incidents to improve the capacity to handle situations. The system of spare materials, equipment and shock troops are always ready to deploy when required.
In addition, the company also strengthens propaganda work, recommends people to use electricity safely during the rainy and stormy season, coordinates with localities to inspect and clear power grid corridors, and minimizes the risk of unsafety and electrical incidents.

Immediately after the storm, Nghe An Electricity Company urgently fixed the problem and quickly restored power to the people. However, due to the severe impact of the storm, many poles were broken, the company has implemented long-term solutions and temporary solutions (bracing and reinforcing some tilted poles, bamboo and wooden poles for low-voltage lines...) to restore power to the people to stabilize their lives and production.
Although the power grid in the whole province has been restored 100% but is still patchy, while waiting for long-term solutions to be implemented, Nghe An Electricity Company recommends that people in the whole province strengthen safety measures, absolutely do not climb electric poles, do not impact the wires, do not tie livestock to electric poles, do not go near broken poles, broken wires, hammocks, do not touch electrical equipment, wires... to avoid electric shock due to electric leakage.

The effort of Nghe An Power Company to restore power supply after the storm not only demonstrates the sense of responsibility of the Electricity industry but is also a practical action to celebrate National Day September 2. It is also a testament to the proactiveness, flexibility and readiness to respond to all natural disasters, contributing to ensuring stable life and socio-economic development in the province.
