Opening of the 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025

The Congress was honored to welcome Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, on behalf of the Politburo and Secretariat, to attend and direct the Congress.

Attending the Congress were leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and organizations; leaders of centrally-run provinces and cities; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; leaders of Minh Hai, Bac Lieu , and Ca Mau provinces through the periods and 450 official delegates, representing more than 82,000 party members in the entire provincial Party Committee.

At the official session, delegates listened to the report on the results of the preparatory session and the results of the qualification examination of delegates. Through the qualification examination, all 450 delegates summoned to the Congress were qualified to attend the 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030; of which, 53 were ex officio delegates, 397 were appointed delegates, and 05 were alternate delegates replacing the official delegates.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Responsibility - Breakthrough - Development", the 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, determined the theme: "Promoting the heroic revolutionary tradition and solidarity; building a clean and strong Party and political system; making breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; taking advantage of opportunities, advantages and potentials of the southernmost province of the Fatherland for comprehensive development; confidently entering a new era with the whole country".

The 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 is a political event of special importance for the Party Committee and People of Ca Mau province after the merger. The Congress conducted a comprehensive summary and assessment of the implementation of the Resolution for the term 2020 - 2025 with the achieved results, advantages, limitations, shortcomings, causes and lessons learned over the past 5 years of the Party Committees of Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces before the merger; determined viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions for the term 2025 - 2030; at the same time, reviewed the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020 - 2025 as a basis for the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030 to draw experience in directing and organizing better implementation in the coming time. Besides, contributing opinions to draft documents submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party.

On behalf of the Presidium, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai delivered the opening speech of the Congress, emphasizing: The 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee took place at a momentous historical moment, a moment when the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army were filled with revolutionary spirit, by the heroic spirit of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; by the very important and historically significant achievements that we have achieved after 40 years of persistently implementing the Party's renewal policy; our country is transforming, our nation is preparing to enter a new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai asked delegates to promote their intelligence, closely follow the reality and needs of life to contribute opinions to the documents submitted to the Congress, focusing on in-depth, objective and honest analysis of outstanding results, as well as limitations and weaknesses; find out the causes, especially subjective causes, summarize lessons learned; clearly identify goals, breakthroughs and key areas for socio-economic development, and improve people's lives.

In addition, delegates need to continue to focus on exchanging and deepening the viewpoints, goals, policies and major orientations stated in the draft documents submitted to the National Party Congress with a high sense of responsibility, reflecting the thoughts, aspirations and vivid practices from the grassroots.

Promoting the successful results of the Party Congresses at all levels since the merger, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai requested that each delegate should uphold the spirit of democracy, sense of responsibility, closely follow the main contents of the Congress, especially for the Provincial Party Delegation to attend the upcoming National Party Congress, each delegate must represent the intelligence and mettle of the Provincial Party Committee, making practical and effective contributions to the overall success of the 14th National Party Congress.

On this occasion, the leaders of Ca Mau province presented the children with a Provincial Children's House worth about 100 billion VND, which will be started and completed in the 2025 - 2030 term.
