"Looking back at the past 5 years, we can affirm that this Award not only honors outstanding scientific works but also creates valuable dialogues and forums between scientists, businesses and policy makers, from which new ideas, new approaches and new cooperation models are opened up and widely spread," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

After 5 seasons, there have been more than 6,000 nominations from nearly 110 countries and territories on all 5 continents. 48 outstanding scientists have been honored - those who are leading the trends in the most important scientific fields such as: artificial intelligence, clean energy, biotechnology, new materials, precision medicine, food security...

The National Assembly Chairman acknowledged, highly appreciated and sincerely thanked the persistent efforts, commitment and high responsibility of the founders of VinFuture Foundation - Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong and his wife, who devoted their enthusiasm and great resources to promoting the science award, contributing to spreading the humanistic values ​​of science and bringing to the world the image of the country and people of Vietnam as rich in intelligence, compassion, will and aspiration for development.

This year, the Award continues to record a large number of nominations with 1,705 applications, nearly 3 times more than the first season. The scientific works all demonstrate strong innovative thinking and pioneering creativity. The National Assembly Chairman believes that these research works will continue to spread inspiration and strengthen society's belief in the power of science and technology in solving urgent global problems.

The National Assembly Chairman shared that the world is facing many complex changes. Climate change, epidemics, energy security, food security, economic fluctuations and even unknown risks from science, technology and new technologies require each country to
must find a suitable path of development. Science can only truly develop its strength when there is extensive, equal and sustainable international cooperation.

The National Assembly Chairman said that in recent times, the Party and State of Vietnam have issued many important policies of historical significance, marking new development milestones such as: innovation in thinking in law-making and enforcement, identifying law-making as a "breakthrough of breakthroughs", developing science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation, international integration in the new situation, developing the private economy, education and training, healthcare, etc.

In particular, Resolution 57 of the Politburo identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key driving forces of the new development phase. The National Assembly has passed Resolution 193, paving the way for specific experimental mechanisms, aiming to create a more open creative space for intellectuals, and more favorable conditions for scientists and businesses to implement ideas and inventions, serving practical requirements.

The 2025 honorees have made outstanding scientific discoveries that have contributed to creating great benefits for society - both in terms of human welfare and sustainable development.
