The first consultative conference introduced candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the 18th People's Council of Hung Yen province, term 2026-2031.

On the afternoon of December 5, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province held the first consultation conferences to agree on the structure, composition, and number of candidates for the 16th National Assembly and the 18th People's Council of Hung Yen province, term 2026-2031.

At the conference, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Hung Yen province Dang Thanh Giang, presented the document of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the expected structure, composition, number and allocation of the number of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term for Hung Yen province; the expected number of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term of the province is 16 people, of which 9 deputies are introduced by local agencies and organizations, 7 deputies are introduced by central agencies and organizations.

In the spirit of frankness, responsibility and democracy, the delegates focused on discussing the structure, composition and number of candidates nominated for the 16th National Assembly and the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031. The structure, composition and number of candidates nominated for election need to ensure harmony between political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations, state agencies, armed forces, economic and career units, the proportion of women, religions, young people and non-Party members.

The conference agreed that the total number of people recommended to run for the 16th National Assembly of the province is 21; agreed to propose that the Standing Committee of the People's Council of Hung Yen province adjust the number of people recommended to run for the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2026-2031 to 170 people.
