At the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang announced Decision No. 2449-QDNS/TW dated October 5, 2025 of the Politburo appointing comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term from October 15, 2025.

In his speech assigning tasks, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung congratulated comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung on being trusted, transferred, and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Hue City Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Le Minh Hung expressed his belief that, with the process of training and maturing from the grassroots, and going through many important positions, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung will continue to promote his qualities, capacity, and steadfast political will to excellently fulfill the important responsibility entrusted to him by the Politburo.

Comrade Le Minh Hung suggested that, in his new position, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung and the Party Committee, government and people of Hue City closely follow the leadership and direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat, focus their efforts and determination on successfully implementing the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, term 2025-2030; in which, it is necessary to urgently thoroughly grasp and concretize it with a practical and feasible action program, soon put the Resolution of the Congress into life; build and perfect scientific and democratic working regulations, pay attention to the work of arranging and using cadres after the congress to ensure objectivity, impartiality, create consensus, arouse the spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity in the entire Party Committee.

Along with that, it is necessary to focus on effectively implementing the orientations and directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat in the new development period; proactively preparing conditions for the 14th National Party Congress, the election of the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; at the same time, striving to complete the goals and tasks of 2025, creating a solid premise for the next stage of development.

Hue is a centrally-run city with a particularly important position, one of the growth poles of the key economic region of the Central region. The Hue City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term was a great success, setting out many goals, tasks, and breakthrough solutions for the new development stage. As Secretary of the City Party Committee, I request Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung and the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to continue to closely follow the directions of the Central Committee and the Politburo, promote the role of the core leader, comprehensively, closely, flexibly direct, promptly remove difficulties, and effectively exploit the potentials and strengths of the locality.

In the coming time, the city Party Committee and government need to focus on directing to create clear and substantial changes in improving the quality and efficiency of the two-level local government apparatus; continue to review and comprehensively evaluate the operational efficiency of the apparatus and the quality of the staff and civil servants, in order to have reasonable arrangements and assignments to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation. At the same time, proactively grasp the grassroots situation, promptly grasp and implement new policies and directions of the Central Government, ensuring smooth and effective leadership and management.

Comrade Le Minh Hung emphasized and requested the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hue City Party Committee, and leaders at all levels and sectors in the city to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, unity, joint efforts, support and accompany Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung in the leadership and direction process, in order to make Hue City develop faster, more sustainably, worthy of being a city of heritage, culture, ecology, friendliness and intelligence.

In his acceptance speech, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung respectfully thanked the Politburo, the Secretariat, General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State for their trust and confidence in him as the head of the Hue City Party Committee - a heroic homeland with a rich revolutionary tradition; a land with a rich history and culture, and the people of Hue full of affection. Hue is one of the centrally-run cities, a major cultural, tourism, health and educational center of the region and the whole country.

"I am deeply aware that the task assigned by the Party is both a great honor and a very heavy responsibility in the new context, which is to continue to build and develop Hue City with a new position, new opportunities, new vision and new goals, as determined by the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030", Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung shared.
