Starting from January 1, 2026, banks will close all transaction features on Mobile Banking and Internet Banking for users who have not synchronized identification information and biometric data according to the standards of the National Population Database. This measure is applied to meet the State Bank's request to filter out non-standardized accounts and limit the risk of high-tech fraud, which increases sharply during the period before Tet.
Accounts in the following cases will be temporarily suspended from online transactions. First, those who still use 9-digit ID cards and have not switched to chip-embedded CCCDs in the data stored at the bank. Second, the ID card has expired but has not been updated with new information.
