Over the years, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy has been known by the local people as a young man who is active in social work, and at the same time, he is an effective producer and businessman, spreading the spirit of progress in the community. With a love for trees and a passion for rockery and miniature landscapes, Quy buys ornamental rocks to sell to people who want to build rockeries.
There were many artisans who came to buy the products, sharing about this field. Mr. Quy listened and learned enthusiastically. At first, Quy made miniature landscapes just for fun, but many people saw the beauty of the products he made and asked to buy them, so the young man came up with the direction of production and business, and began to focus on investing his efforts and intelligence. From then on, he often went online to learn, and at the same time, during the production process, he worked and learned, constantly accumulating and improving his experience to create beautiful, high-quality products.
Every day, after completing his social work (previously Mr. Quy was the Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the old Phu Thuong Ward, a part-time cultural officer), Mr. Quy is busy coming up with ideas, bending and shaping bonsai trees, carving out compartments to "sign" trees into rocks, designing small rockeries, miniature landscapes, mountains, waterfalls..., suitable for urban houses with limited space. Green living space is the goal of every family and community. Therefore, Mr. Quy's products are chosen by many customers. Mr. Quy also receives many large orders, designed and constructed at home.
With the local authorities' support in managing the site (previously an illegal sand and gravel dumping site, causing serious environmental pollution), Mr. Quy built a "Youth Flower Garden" model with many types of ornamental plants and flowers blooming all year round: Hue old roses , sam flowers, cymbidiums, peonies, bougainvillea...
Mr. Quy buys plants and flowers to propagate, makes a profit from his labor, sells them to customers and provides materials for garden landscape projects. Quy's "Youth Flower Garden" is also a model that youth union members in the city come to visit and learn from. The stable and increasing number of customers, the increasingly developed production and business activities are proof of the quality of the products made by Quy. Thanks to that, Quy earns a net profit of more than 200 million VND each year.
With the pioneering spirit of a Youth Union officer, Mr. Nguyen Van Quy tries his best to spread to young people, union members, and youths in the area the motivation to overcome difficulties and develop the economy . In addition, Quy also invested in 5 cages to raise catfish and grass carp, fish that do not require much cost for food, only labor to make profit. Each cage of grass carp gives a net profit of about 50 - 70 million VND; catfish makes a profit of about 30 million VND/cage.
Busy with social work and family production and business, Nguyen Van Quy is always willing to spend time sharing his experiences with anyone who wants to learn. Quy also guides local people on composting techniques for flowers and vegetables, aiming towards safe, organic vegetable growing methods.
Mr. Doan Van Sy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of My Thuong Ward, highly appreciated the achievements that Nguyen Van Quy has achieved in the past time, especially the spirit of effort in production and business, spreading to young people in particular and the community the spirit of striving to get rich; deserving to be commended as "Progressive youth following Uncle Ho's teachings".
