With the support from the State's policies, in recent times, many supporting industry enterprises in Dong Nai have made efforts to expand production and business scale, diversify customers, and affirm their production capacity.
Customers are a matter of survival.
Having just received a Japanese partner who came to visit and learn about his company's mechanical products, Mr. Phan Van Tu, Director of Kim Vinh Thang Company Limited (factory in Ho Nai Industrial Park) said: The first impression of both sides is quite good and there is opportunity and potential to expand cooperation.
Kim Vinh Thang Company Limited has recently been significantly affected by the relocation of its factory in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park to hand over land to serve the province's development planning. After a period of stabilizing its production facilities, Kim Vinh Thang is accelerating production at the end of the year. According to Mr. Phan Van Tu, participating in direct business connection programs through the Dong Nai Province Supporting Industry Development Promotion Coordinator Group or recent trade activities is an effective channel for his company to find more customers.
Not only with programs in Dong Nai province, but also participating in national and regional programs helps businesses expand opportunities to search and cooperate with customers and partners. In early December, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Exhibition - Forum on supporting industries and the Conference on Connecting Supply and Demand in the Supply Chain 2025 will take place. The largest event of the year in the supporting industry is expected to gather more than 200 businesses and a number of industrial parks. This is an opportunity for the domestic business community, manufacturing corporations, FDI partners and industrial parks to strengthen connections, expand cooperation and seek opportunities in the global supply chain.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of Tinh Nguyen Hao Company Limited (in Phuoc Tan Ward) shared: In addition to supplying Vietnamese production partners, the company's products are also in cooperation with foreign-invested enterprises (FDI) that are producing in the province. There were particularly difficult times, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent global economic recession, which strongly affected the company's production output. Some foreign partners reduced their purchases; the problem of product output is always a constant problem for the company. After a period of recovery, Tinh Nguyen Hao has now developed more stably; the company has built a new factory to meet increased demand.
To support supporting industry enterprises, in addition to the general policies of the State, Dong Nai province also has other specific activities. Recently, the province organized the Vietnam - Japan Business Connection Conference with more than 100 enterprises participating.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Duc, Deputy Head of the Coordinating Team for the Promotion of Supporting Industry Development in Dong Nai Province, commented: The opportunities and potential for cooperation between enterprises are huge. However, there are a number of objective reasons leading to a lack of information about each other. Therefore, after the concentrated trade connection programs, the Coordinating Team for the Promotion of Supporting Industry Development will proactively connect each domestic enterprise and specific FDI enterprise together, thereby clearly grasping information, potential, and cooperation opportunities so that the support results are more specific and effective.
Businesses gradually overcome weaknesses
In fact, most of Vietnam's supporting industry enterprises come from small businesses; accessing policies, guidelines or support mechanisms from the State will encounter certain limitations. Barriers to loan support, support related to factory construction, tax incentives or factories that meet prescribed standards are always things that small and medium enterprises must overcome. Only by overcoming these limitations can enterprises truly affirm their capacity and participate more deeply in the global supply chain.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu That, General Director of Diep Nam Phuong Investment Joint Stock Company (in Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park), previously, the company's factory was quite modest in scale, located outside the concentrated production area. To improve its production capacity and meet the increasingly high standards of its partners, the company invested in building a modern factory in Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park. The factory has a favorable location, has invested tens of billions of VND to upgrade new machinery systems, so it is more confident in meeting the high standards of customers.
Mr. Nguyen Huu That affirmed: Competition in the supporting industry is increasingly high, which requires closer cooperation from local enterprises to exploit the maximum advantages of each enterprise. In particular, the issue of prioritizing the use of each other's products, services or sharing goods sources together at certain times is a solution to create more motivation for enterprises in their production and business strategies.
In addition to upgrading production facilities, human resources are also very important and are of interest to businesses. Investing in people through training, improving skills and expertise for staff and workers; training soft skills to achieve better work performance are long-term factors for sustainable development.
