Attending the workshop were MSc. Doan Dinh Lam, Senior Expert of the Department of Science, Technology, Training and Environment, Ministry of Culture,
Sports and Tourism; MSc. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ha, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Film Institute; Dr. Le Thi Minh Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association; Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, Project Manager, Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Mai, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, scientists and experts from agencies, research institutes, museums and units operating in the field of heritage conservation associated with President Ho Chi Minh and the project implementation team.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of
Ho Chi Minh Museum, Head of the project, said: “Ho Chi Minh Museum currently preserves the negative film collection “President Ho Chi Minh with culture, art and sports”. This is a valuable collection, reflecting President Ho Chi Minh's deep concern for culture, art and sports, in the war situation as well as in building Vietnam towards socialism. The negative films in the collection recorded the simple moments and feelings of President Ho Chi Minh for domestic and international artists and athletes, and at the same time clearly showed their respect and deep, sincere feelings for him. The workshop hopes to receive opinions and direct exchanges from scientists around the negative film collection about President Ho Chi Minh with culture, art and sports to complete the collection, serving the research work on his life, ideology, morality and style, thereby proposing specific and effective solutions. in the work of preserving and promoting the value of collections".

With 15 presentations from researchers, the Workshop provided additional scientific and practical bases for the implementation of the topic, contributing to clarifying the meaning, role and value of the Collection of negative films about President Ho Chi Minh in the fields of culture, art and sports. This is a valuable source of documents, reflecting his thoughts, style and deep feelings for the development of culture, art and sports of the country.
The delegates focused on discussing and clarifying key contents such as: Theoretical issues on museum artifact collection and negative film collection; Inventory and documentation of negative film collection in general and negative film collection about President Ho Chi Minh with culture, arts and sports at Ho Chi Minh Museum; Evaluation of the values of negative film collection about President Ho Chi Minh with culture, arts and sports at Ho Chi Minh Museum; Current status of preservation and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of preserving negative film collection in general and negative film collection about President Ho Chi Minh with culture, arts and sports at Ho Chi Minh Museum; Proposed solutions to promote the value of negative film collection about President Ho Chi Minh with culture, arts and sports at Ho Chi Minh Museum.

In her closing remarks at the workshop, Dr. Le Thi Minh Ly, Vice President of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, affirmed: “The presentations and enthusiastic exchanges of opinions from scientists and experts at the workshop affirmed the value of the Collection of President Ho Chi Minh’s negative films for culture, arts and sports, while emphasizing the role of inventory, documentation and preservation of this valuable collection. The assessments and recommendations at the workshop are an important basis for effectively promoting the value of the collection in education, communication and propaganda about Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, contributing to perfecting the scientific arguments of the Project and developing practical solutions for the work of preserving and promoting the value of this special collection of documents.”
