Under the cooperation agreement, Becamex and IFC will implement the program "Evaluation of Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) in industrial parks - urban areas developed by Becamex and VSIP".
Through the Global Eco-Industrial Park Assessment and Certification (GEIPAC) program, IFC will support Becamex in conducting preliminary assessments for up to five industrial parks under the international EIP certification framework.
The assessment results will help identify key strengths, gaps and opportunities for improvement in terms of management, environmental, social and economic performance – thereby providing a basis for technical planning, operational improvements and future investment mobilization.
At the same time, the agreement also contributes to expanding the scale of EIP pilot models to bring them closer to global standards and serve as a foundation for accessing green finance sources.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Dung also hopes that the two partners will continue to research projects and products outside industrial parks for the green environment, turning pilot models into universal solutions in the city's industrial-urban ecosystem.
