Thai newspaper comments before home team's match against Vietnam women's team

(Dan Tri) - The Thai women's football team will meet the Vietnamese women's football team again in the third place match of the Southeast Asian tournament. Before this match, the Thai media believed in the home team's ability to "recover debt".

According to Thailand's leading sports daily, they revealed some of the ways the Thai women's football team prepared before the rematch with the Vietnamese women's football team.

Siam Sport reported: “The Thai women’s players were instructed by coach Futoshi Ikeda on how to overcome the mistakes the team made in previous matches. In addition, physical recovery was also focused on.”

They had a training session lasting about 1 hour and 30 minutes, right before tomorrow’s match. Madison Jet Castain said: “The third-place match against the Vietnamese women’s football team will definitely be very interesting. There will likely be a lot of Vietnamese spectators coming to watch this match. That makes me excited, but also a little worried.”

“My goal is to score in the upcoming match and help the team win third place in the tournament. I apologize to Thai football fans that we could not reach the final, but we will try our best in the next match to get the best position possible,” Thai-American player Madison Jet Castain emphasized.

As for FAT's fanpage, they said: "The Thai women's football team is still continuously training, seriously preparing for the rematch with the Vietnamese women's team."

The third-place match between the Vietnamese women's team and Thailand will begin at 4:30 p.m. Then, at 8 p.m., the final match between the Myanmar women's team and U23 Australia will take place at 8 p.m., both matches will take place at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong).
