Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh: Lam Dong needs to improve its investment environment.

(Dan Tri) - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh suggested that Lam Dong province allocate resources for strategic infrastructure and improve the investment environment in the coming time.

On October 12, in Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee organized the Investment Promotion Conference 2025 with the participation of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and representatives of ministries, departments, branches, central agencies, leaders of provinces and cities and hundreds of enterprises.

Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - said that Lam Dong has the largest natural area in the country with more than 24,000 square kilometers, including 3 ecological regions: plateau, midland, and coastal.

Lam Dong has all the elements of sea, forest, border gates, seaports, etc. These are factors that open up development potential and form new growth poles for the locality.

Lam Dong province leaders said that currently the whole province has more than 33,000 investment and business enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 350,000 billion VND.

Mr. Ho Van Muoi shared that with the motto and aspiration to build Lam Dong into a rich and strong province, the locality is committed to improving the investment and business environment. Lam Dong province also upgrades infrastructure, calls for, and creates the best conditions to welcome corporations and businesses to invest and implement projects.

“The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee affirms that the success of investors is the success of the province. Lam Dong Province has put forward the motto: When businesses need it, the government is there; when businesses are in difficulty, the government is there,” said Mr. Ho Van Muoi. He added that the province continues to improve the investment environment, reform administrative procedures and publicize information, and support businesses.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that Lam Dong is the province with the largest area in the country.

This province has outstanding potentials and advantages such as the Da Lat plateau with a temperate climate, favorable for the development of high-tech agriculture, eco-tourism, and high-quality resorts; the coastal area with a 192km long coastline, a fishing ground of more than 52,000km2, rich in potential for marine economy, tourism, and renewable energy; the great forest area with the largest bauxite reserves in the country, and abundant potential for wind and solar power.

According to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Lam Dong currently has nearly 33,000 enterprises, more than 160,000 business households, nearly 3,000 valid projects with a total capital of over 2 quadrillion VND. These figures demonstrate the confidence of the business community and investors in Lam Dong's dynamic, transparent and potential investment environment.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged and highly appreciated Lam Dong province's determination in announcing 132 projects calling for investment this year and 358 projects in the 2026-2030 period. These are key projects on transport infrastructure, industrial parks, energy, urban areas, high-tech agriculture, high-quality tourism, etc.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked Lam Dong province to continue perfecting institutions and improving the investment and business environment for enterprises to invest and develop; allocate resources for strategic infrastructure, especially highways, airports, and seaports; accompany enterprises, remove difficulties, promote innovation, digital transformation, develop green economy and circular economy.

At the investment promotion conference, Lam Dong province leaders awarded investment certificates to 9 units implementing projects on urban areas, tourism, energy, and industrial parks with a total area of ​​23,000 hectares and a total investment capital of over 33,000 billion VND.

Lam Dong province also signed memorandums of understanding with many investors on tourism and energy projects. The province also called on businesses to invest in 72 major projects, including 25 real estate projects, 3 tourism projects, 12 energy industry projects, 7 transport infrastructure projects, etc.
