According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 a.m. on October 23, the center of storm Tra Mi was located at about 15.2 degrees north latitude; 125.4 degrees east longitude, in the sea east of the Philippines. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 9 (75-88 km/h), gusting to level 11. The storm moved northwest at a speed of about 20 km/h.
At 1:00 a.m. on October 24, the center of the storm was located at approximately 17.1 degrees north latitude; 122.1 degrees east longitude, on the mainland east of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 10, gusting to level 12. The storm moved northwest at a speed of 15km/hour.
At 1:00 a.m. on October 25, the center of the storm was at approximately 17.0 degrees north latitude; 118.9 degrees east longitude, in the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 10, gusting to level 12. The storm moved west at a speed of 15 km/h, entering the East Sea.
At 1:00 a.m. on October 26, the center of the storm was at approximately 17.3 degrees north latitude; 115.1 degrees east longitude, 330 km east-northeast of the Hoang Sa archipelago. The strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 11, gusting to level 14. The storm moved in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of 15 km/hour.
From the next 72 to 120 hours, the storm will move mainly to the West, traveling 15-20km per hour, and will continue to strengthen.
Due to the influence of storm Tra Mi, in the eastern sea area of the northern East Sea, the wind is strong at level 6-7. From the morning of October 24, it increased to level 8-9 (62-88km/h), near the storm center it is level 10-11 (89-117km/h), gusting to level 14, waves 4-6m high, near the storm center 6-8m; the sea is very rough.
Warning, ships operating in the above dangerous areas are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and large waves.
