Arrested the manager of the Crescent Moon Inn for torturing an 85-year-old woman

Previously, social networks posted many clips recording a weak old woman being cursed at, beaten, and kicked by a man.

The old lady was sitting and a man used his hand to touch her.

During the beatings, the man pointed at the woman and shouted "go in, I said go in" despite the woman's efforts to plead and explain that she was "injured".

The clips circulating on social networks have made many people angry at the man's attitude and behavior.

Through investigation, the incident occurred at a private nursing home in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately upon receiving the information, District 12 Police coordinated with relevant forces to investigate.

Through that, the authorities identified the old woman in the clip as Mrs. VTT, 85 years old, from Ben Tre , living in Tan Binh District; and the man who beat the old woman is Huynh Van Gioi, manager of the Trang Khuyet Inn Shelter on Ha Huy Giap Street, Thanh Loc Ward, District 12.

According to the police, Gioi started working at Trang Khuyet Charity and Social Protection Fund Company Limited since 2020, and was assigned to manage the District 12 Charity Shelter Inn, under the Trang Khuyet Charity and Social Protection Fund.

Gioi's daily task is to manage, look after, and care for the elderly currently residing at the Moonlit Inn Shelter. This place has about 14 elderly people who are lonely and have no place to live.

The victim was admitted to the Trang Khuyet Inn Shelter , managed and looked after by Gioi. During the care, Gioi beat and cursed at Mr. T. as shown in the clips.

Outraged by Gioi's behavior, someone used their phone to record it and posted it on social media.

Trang Khuyet Charity and Social Protection Fund Company Limited was licensed to operate by the Department of Planning and Investment of Ho Chi Minh City in 2020. The current managing unit is An Vui Old Age Nursing Joint Stock Company, Tan Binh District.
