Arrest of subject carrying 2 illegal military guns

On the morning of July 27, information from the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard said that the unit had just coordinated with the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of the Provincial Police, Lao Bao Commune Police and the Customs Control Team, Regional Customs Branch 9 to arrest a subject for illegally storing military weapons.

Specifically, at around 2:00 p.m. on July 26, at a restaurant in Tay Chin hamlet, Lao Bao commune, the authorities inspected and arrested Tran Hai Quynh (born in 1982), residing in Tuong Mai ward, Hanoi city.

Upon inspection, the forces seized a gun with 1 loaded bullet and a magazine containing 10 bullets from the subject, along with a used NOKIA mobile phone with a SIM card. In addition, the backpack that Tran Hai Quynh was carrying contained another gun, inside was a magazine containing 8 bullets; 2 mobile phones and a large amount of cash.

Currently, the case and all evidence have been handed over to PC02 Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police for further investigation and clarification. It is known that previously, PC02 Department of Hanoi City Police requested the authorities of Quang Tri Province to coordinate in implementing professional measures to verify and arrest the above-mentioned suspect.
