Initially, Long Bien District Police determined that the arrested man was an alcoholic, had a bad character, and had many criminal records. At the time he threw the knife at the car, he was drunk and had no conflict or disagreement with the driver.
Through working with the authorities, the suspect admitted his actions.
Previously, on August 27, this man was shirtless, stopped his motorbike in the middle of the road, and then threw a long knife over the head of a motorcyclist. The knife then stuck into the rear window of a Toyota Land Cruiser moving on Nguyen Van Cu Street (Bo De Ward, Long Bien District).
After committing this dangerous act, the man got on his motorbike and left. The driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser went to the Bo De Ward Police Station to report.
