A world-class sporting event.

Recently, a business proposed a plan to make Lam Dong the first locality in the country to host the World Flyboard Championship. This sport has appeared in many countries such as Qatar, Dubai, and the United States, but has never been held in Vietnam. According to the business representative, Flyboard is a sport that uses water pressure to create propulsion for athletes to fly and perform on the water's surface. If implemented, the tournament would bring together top Flyboard athletes from around the world, combined with light shows, music , and other water sports experiences. This would not only create a new highlight for cultural, sports, and tourism activities, but also contribute to promoting the image of the locality to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally.

Beyond being just a performance event, the province hopes Flyboard can become the nucleus of a water sports tourism ecosystem, linked to the exploitation of natural landscapes and the development of the high-end tourism segment. According to the proposal, the event also aims to attract international media attention and increase the recognition of Lam Dong as a destination on the experiential tourism map.

This is not just a simple sport; it requires skillful technique.

The development of a new sport needs to be studied in a way that creates a synchronized ecosystem, effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of the local terrain, natural landscape, and conditions for developing water sports. This will contribute to diversifying tourism products, promoting socio-economic development, and aiming for double-digit growth in the province.

Therefore, I am very happy to be invited here to participate in Flyboard shows. This is not just a simple sport; it requires skillful and professional techniques with movements such as spins, dances, and acrobatics in the air…” According to artist Tomasz Kubik, along with vibrant music, lighting, fireworks, and costumes, Flyboard is truly an art form that attracts a large audience, giving tourists wonderful experiences while traveling along the coast.

If properly managed and guided, this type of activity will not only contribute to revitalizing marine sports tourism but also open up opportunities to participate in festivals, cultural events, and tourism. This is the right direction for Lam Dong, a beautiful coastal province, to become not only a resort destination but also a leading marine sports destination in Southeast Asia.”
