Since the beginning of the term, the Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term, basically completing the mid-term goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Border Guard Party Congress.
The Provincial Border Guard Party Committee has proactively grasped, analyzed, and comprehensively forecasted the situation related to the border and sea areas to advise the Border Guard Command and the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on appropriate and effective leadership policies and measures in building and protecting the border. Strengthening patrols and strictly controlling the border, doing a good job of controlling entry and exit in conjunction with preventing and fighting the COVID-19 pandemic; promptly detecting and handling cases and violations of border management regulations and border gate security.
Officers and soldiers of Cau Treo International Border Gate Border Guard Station and Border Protection Company 253 (Laos) organized a bilateral patrol.
Presided over and coordinated the successful fight against 85 special projects and cases, arrested 188 subjects of illegal immigration, drug trafficking, explosives and firecrackers. Seized evidence included 65 heroin cakes, 336 kg of crystal meth, 62 kg of ketamine, nearly 5,000 synthetic drug pills, 120 kg of explosives, and nearly 500 kg of firecrackers.
The provincial Border Guard also arrested and handled 102 trawlers illegally fishing at sea; participated in 28 successful rescues/43 vehicles/107 crew members; mobilized 750 officers and soldiers to overcome the consequences of floods, and 610 officers and soldiers to fight forest fires.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, pointing out limitations as well as proposing solutions to continue effectively implementing the goals and tasks of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Border Guard Party Congress.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee Vo Trong Hai acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard in the past time.
In the coming time, the task of protecting territorial sovereignty, especially ensuring security and order in border and coastal areas is very heavy. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai requested the provincial Border Guard to do a good job in immigration work, creating a transparent environment while ensuring legal regulations associated with border diplomacy work; effectively combating all types of crimes; continuing to support people in socio-economic development and new rural construction.
At the same time, actively propagate and mobilize people, especially fishermen in coastal areas, to comply with regulations on illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing. Proactively participate in burning tasks, participate in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue, and do a good job of preparing for the provincial defense area exercise in 2023.
