China: 5-year-old Mac Mac is popular on social media for pretending to be a doctor and using homemade medical equipment to examine her pet dog.
The Douyin account (the Chinese version of TikTok) "Mo Mo and Dad" has posted about 300 videos of the girl pretending to be a doctor at her home in Jiangsu Province, eastern China. She dresses up in doctor's uniforms and uses mock-ups of medical equipment such as CT scanners to examine her corgi "patients."
Viewers were amused by the video of Mac Mac's pet dog lying still on a CT scanner model while its owner examined him. Next to Mac Mac was a black cat, which occasionally touched the dog, making viewers joke that it was a cat nurse.

Mac Mac's mother said she first saw a CT scanner during a checkup last year. When she got home, she asked her parents how much it cost and if they could afford it.
Mac Mac's father replied that CT scanners were very expensive, but he could make one for his daughter out of cardboard. Since having the "CT scanner", Mac Mac, who dreams of becoming a doctor, often takes care of the "patients" in the house, including pets and sometimes family members.
A video of Mo Mo using a cardboard CT scanner has become one of the most trending topics on Chinese social media, attracting 9 million views on Douyin. The Douyin account "Mo Mo and Dad" has nearly a million followers. Videos of her "delivering" her dog and taking X-rays of animals are also popular.
"If you still love medicine in the future, we will definitely support you," Mac Mac's mother said.

"How happy it is that her dream is protected and nurtured," one person commented on the videos.
Others praised Mac Mac's father as a wonderful and creative father. Many also praised Mac Mac's pet dog, saying that the animal should become an actor because it cooperates so well with its young owner.
Topics of parents spending time playing with their children often trend on Chinese social media. In March, a mother in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China was praised for turning old cardboard boxes into toys for her children.
