Closing Ceremony of the Banking Industry Sports Festival

The State Bank of Vietnam's Binh Thuan Branch recently held the closing ceremony of the Banking Sector Sports Festival. More than 300 athletes from 20 credit institutions and representatives from related sectors participated.

The 2024 Banking Sector Sports Festival took place over six days, from May 6th to 11th. 300 athletes competed in four sports: football, badminton, tug-of-war, and table tennis. The first prize in football went to Lien Viet Bank, with Pham Phu Thanh Nghia of Sacombank scoring 10 goals and Nguyen Ba Duy Khiem of Lien Viet Bank being the best goalkeeper. In badminton (under 35 years old), the first prize in men's doubles went to Do Quang Thai and Tran Dang Quang ( Agribank ). In table tennis (over 40 years old), Ta Hung Chien (Agribank) won first prize. Agribank also won first prize in tug-of-war. In addition to first prizes, the festival awarded second, third, and consolation prizes in each sport to winning individuals and teams.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Banking Sector Sports Festival, Mr. Phan Thanh Én - Director of the State Bank of Vietnam in Binh Thuan province, said: "Over the past six days of competition, the participating credit institutions have given their all. The sports festival was a great success, helping to further strengthen solidarity within the banking sector and improve physical fitness for better performance in financial professional activities…"
