Closing ceremony of Vo Lao commune's literary and artistic creation camp

On the afternoon of October 16, at Vo Lao commune, the Lao Cai Provincial Literature and Arts Association coordinated with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Vo Lao commune to organize the closing ceremony of the 2025 Literature and Arts Creation Camp.

The creative camp took place from October 11-16, 2025, gathering 15 members from the following majors: literature, fine arts, music and photography.

During the camp, the artists visited many villages and hamlets of Vo Lao to record real-life emotions. The group visited many tourist attractions and economic development models, such as cinnamon plantation, aquaculture, etc., and also interacted with cultural clubs of Mong, Dao, Tay ethnic groups, learning about traditional occupations and unique cultural activities of local people.

Journalist Nguyen Thanh Long, Vice President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, spoke at the ceremony.

As a result, 56 new works were created, including: 42 photography works, 8 fine arts works, 4 music works and 3 memoirs and notes. Most of the works vividly reflect the natural beauty, people and cultural identity of the Vo Lao land after the merger.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee introduced and displayed typical new works, such as music, fine arts, and photography created in the camp, giving viewers rich and profound perspectives on the land and people of Vo Lao.

This is the first literary and artistic creation camp organized under the coordination model between the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and the commune level. The program has brought practical results, creating opportunities for artists to become more attached to the grassroots, while contributing to promoting the local image with a close and emotional artistic language.
