The writing camp, themed "50 Years of Vietnamese Literature and Arts Accompanying the Nation," took place from June 15th to 20th.
Sixteen researchers, critics, and literary theorists from 44 provinces and cities across the country participated. During the nearly week-long writing camp, the participants worked diligently and creatively to produce articles, research papers, and theoretical pieces on the arts and culture of their respective localities, offering diverse perspectives and viewpoints.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Standing Member of the Council for Literary and Artistic Criticism, and Head of the writing camp, the campers' essays and reports were of good quality. The essays focused on four main points: "Identifying the current development trends of Vietnamese literature and art, thereby broadening the perspective to national and international levels; the direction of literature and art closely linked to real life, truthfully reflecting social reality and the thoughts and feelings of people, contributing to deeply portraying the inner world and building the image of humanity; and delving into issues of Vietnamese literary criticism theory..."
People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Associations of Literature and Arts, shared that this writing camp yielded 61 articles, including theoretical papers and critical essays. He acknowledged the efforts of the participating artists and hoped that these works would serve as a foundation for more in-depth articles and research in the future.
