Fined for insulting a janitor

A 33-year-old woman in Bao Loc City was fined 2.5 million VND for cursing and insulting the work and family of a garbage collector.

On the afternoon of June 21, a woman living in Loc Phat ward was administratively fined by Bao Loc City Police for her behavior. Using insulting, slanderous, defamatory words to defame the honor and dignity of others according to Clause 3, Article 7, Decree 144.

In addition, the police also forced this person to publicly apologize to the female janitor who is an employee of Bao Loc Urban Construction Joint Stock Company.

Previously, in a nearly 4-minute video that went viral online, a female cleaner was cleaning up trash in front of a woman’s house in Loc Phat ward. The homeowner used the excuse that the cleaner couldn’t carry the trash can (because it was too big) to curse and insult her. The cleaner responded calmly amid the constant barrage of curses.

The video has attracted millions of views, most of the comments are outraged by the homeowner's behavior. They believe that the cleaning profession is very necessary for society, and those who do this job should be appreciated, not humiliated.
