"I don't think about being compared to Dang Van Lam. I just try to do my best and don't care about others. I have heard many comparisons, but I just want to focus on my performance," Filip Nguyen answered the question about fans and the media comparing him and his colleague Dang Van Lam.
The goalkeeper born in 1992 received a lot of attention after leaving Europe and moving to V-League to play for Hanoi Police Club. If he completes the naturalization procedure, Filip Nguyen is eligible to play for the Vietnam national team and compete with Dang Van Lam.

However, at the moment, Filip Nguyen is not thinking about that. The goalkeeper who was once called up to the Czech Republic national team is only focusing on showing his ability in the new shirt and trying to get used to the competition environment in Vietnam.
"The biggest difference is the weather. In addition, the matches in the V-League are not as fast as in the Czech Republic, so we have to play football based on experience and tactics more," Filip Nguyen pointed out the first differences he experienced in the V-League.
Filip Nguyen is not used to the weather in Vietnam.
In Filip Nguyen’s last match, Hanoi Police Club dropped the victory in the final minutes when hosting Ha Tinh Club at home. They took the lead thanks to a goal by Jhon Cley but let their opponents equalize.
"We are very disappointed. This is a home match, the team aims to win 3 points so 1 point is not enough," said Filip Nguyen.
