An Giang province has only 102 communes, wards and special zones, with a population of more than 4.95 million people.

After the ceremony to announce the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of the new An Giang Provincial Party Committee, the People's Councils of communes, wards and special zones announced the decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on appointing secretaries and chairmen of the People's Committees of localities.

Accordingly, An Giang province has only 102 communes, wards and special zones, with a total area of ​​over ^9,889km2 and a population of over 4.95 million people (ranked 3rd in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi ). Specifically:

Phu Quoc Special Zone has Mr. Le Quoc Anh as Party Secretary and Mr. Tran Minh Khoa as Chairman of People's Committee.

Kien Hai Special Zone has Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan as Secretary and Chairman of People's Committee is Mr. Chau Hung Ky.

Tho Chau Special Zone has Mr. Lam Minh Hien as Party Secretary and Chairman of the Special Zone People's Committee.
