Arriving at the 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creative Awards ceremony very early, Mr. Vo Hung Thuat, Director of the Tuoi Tre Newspaper Media Service Center, shared, "This award is a great motivation and also a responsibility for those who implement it to take the program to a further level."
According to Mr. Thuat, “Pho Day 12/12” is an event, a culinary festival for everyone to experience Vietnamese pho. The most important purpose is to promote the diverse and rich culinary culture of Vietnam.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Tuyet, Director of Thieng Lieng Agricultural Trade and Tourism Service Cooperative, radiantly stepped onto the stage to receive the award in the field of Creative Startup.
“The model implemented by the locals has great significance, developing a community tourism model, increasing income for the locals on the island who were previously only familiar with the traditional salt making profession,” Ms. Tuyet shared with SGGP reporter.
Ms. Tuyet said that the initial development of the model encountered many difficulties because many people were not ready. “We mobilized the women to participate in the model, now everyone is happy to see the greener and cleaner space, more income and new smiles in each house. Community tourism helps local people to protect ecological resources and the environment, while promoting the unique cultural features of the locality.”
Coming to this model, visitors can experience typical tourism products such as cuisine (ginseng, coconut ice cream, banh lot...), coastal drinks, salt making space, nostalgic space, traditional music, relaxing foot bath...
“With the community tourism model, the people on the island are very excited. It is even more special when participating in the Ho Chi Minh City Creative Award contest and being here today to receive the award. We also want to make travel more convenient in the future so that tourists can know more about Thieng Lieng island, come there to enjoy delicious food, and meet friendly people,” Ms. Tuyet expressed.
Sharing the joy of the award day, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Kim Ngoc, University of Natural Sciences, VNU-HCM could not hide his emotions. Associate Professor Dr. Pham Kim Ngoc said that the product "Memory-diode integrated array for new generation artificial neural network applications" is a type of electronic component that can be used to recognize images and numbers. Based on manufacturing technologies of thin films and semiconductor material layers, such integrated arrays can be created.
For over 10 years, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Kim Ngoc and his research team have been pursuing the field of manufacturing semiconductor material layers. Based on their existing experience, the team has boldly developed this product.
“The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award is a valuable recognition and also a great motivation for the whole group, creating a foundation for stronger development to have breakthrough products in the future,” Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Kim Ngoc shared.
Spreading Vietnamese values
The 4th Ho Chi Minh City Creativity Awards presented 51 outstanding awards. Of which, the project “Ho Chi Minh City River Festival” of the Department of Tourism was awarded the first prize in group 1 (economic development). The project is a creative event in exploiting river resources, combining culture - tourism - economy to enhance the brand of Ho Chi Minh City as a river city rich in identity and modernity.
The solution "Application of information technology and electronic data in detecting, investigating, and handling violations and negative acts in the field of vehicle registration" by the group of authors from Ho Chi Minh City Police won the first prize in field 2 (National Defense and Security). This is a project that is highly appreciated for its effectiveness. It helps to unify the identification of violations, each breakthrough step, clues, and methods of collecting evidence documents to serve the fight against the project and investigate the case.
In the field of communication (field 4), the program “Pho Day 12/12” by the group of authors of Tuoi Tre Newspaper was awarded First Prize. The program is an important culinary culture promotion activity, honoring Pho - a culinary symbol of Vietnam. The program has spread cultural values and the spirit of sharing to the community, contributing to elevating Vietnamese cuisine, spreading traditional Vietnamese Pho high and far across the country and the world.
The play “Comrade” by the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association won first prize in category 5 (Literature and Arts) and expressed the great message of author Le Thu Hanh about the generations today never forgetting the merits and blood of their fathers and brothers in the cause of national liberation. However, those core values are the foundation for reflection and cannot be applied in a stereotyped way in today’s modern life, requiring flexible application so that those values always flow in the hearts of Vietnamese people.
Inspire creative competition
Among the 51 outstanding products awarded this time is the project "Group of solutions to propagate and promote specific resolutions and innovate the creative emulation movement in Ho Chi Minh City" by SGGP Newspaper (in field 4 - Communication).
This is a solution that not only fulfills the political mission of SGGP Newspaper, but also is an effort to innovate and create in propagating the emulation and innovation activities, spreading motivation and inspiration to contribute to developing Ho Chi Minh City in a civilized, modern, and humane direction, accompanying the whole country to enter the era of rising up, developing richly and prosperously.
According to the representative of SGGP Newspaper, the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award is the driving force for SGGP Newspaper to continue promoting creativity in propaganda, applying digital technology, combining printed newspapers with multimedia content such as videos, infographics, longform... on electronic newspapers and social networking platforms. In particular, continuing propaganda campaigns, especially on the creative emulation movement in general and the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation Award in particular, to spread information and strongly inspire the community.
