Phan Thiet City Party Secretary elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of March 22, at the 13th session (special session), delegates of the 11th term People's Council of Binh Thuan province voted to elect Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Phan Thiet City Party Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province, term 2021 - 2026.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, born in 1973, from Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet City, has a master's degree in science and technology specializing in bridges and roads. Before being elected as Vice Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Hai held the following positions: Director of Binh Thuan Provincial Department of Transport, Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee, Secretary of Phan Thiet City Party Committee.

Also at this session, delegates of the 11th term People's Council of Binh Thuan province voted to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Phong from the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the 2021-2026 term, who was prosecuted and detained by the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security in December 2022 for the crime of "Lack of responsibility causing serious consequences" occurring at the Tan Viet Phat 2 Commercial, Service and Residential Area project (Phan Thiet City).

At this session, the People's Council of Binh Thuan province also voted to pass 5 resolutions on: Policy on changing the purpose of forest use to other purposes to implement the project of renovating and upgrading National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan province and Lam Dong province (section through Binh Thuan province); investment policy on the project to upgrade and expand the remaining section of DT.714 route (section Km9+200 - km19+500), Ham Thuan Bac district; investment policy on the project to upgrade, renovate and purchase equipment for 15 medical stations and polyclinics in districts and Binh Thuan province; list of public service projects using the State budget in the field of education and training in the province and regulations on training and fostering expenses for teachers and managers of educational institutions to implement the new program and new textbooks for general education in the province.
