Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh chaired the 14th meeting of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity

On the afternoon of October 15, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness, and Negativity (SC) held its 14th meeting to evaluate the results of leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of anti-corruption, wastefulness, and negativity work in the past 9 months, and to deploy tasks for the last 3 months of 2025. Comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the SC chaired the meeting. Also attending were Comrade Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, members of the SC; and representatives of the Central Internal Affairs Commission.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the Steering Committee has focused on innovating methods and activities to ensure order, focus, and key points; promptly promulgating work programs and regulations on receiving and handling petitions, letters of reflection, recommendations, complaints, and denunciations sent to the Steering Committee, and guiding the inclusion of cases and incidents in the Steering Committee's monitoring and handling direction for implementation. The Steering Committee members have closely followed the functions, tasks, and 2025 Work Program, regularly coordinating, urging, inspecting, and supervising the agencies, units, fields, and areas assigned to monitor and take charge of increasingly closely and effectively.

However, the detection of corruption and negative cases through self-inspection is still rare; the implementation of contents according to the coordination mechanism in inspection, examination, investigation, prosecution, trial, etc. is sometimes not timely.

Discussing at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Thi Kim Dung and members of the Steering Committee highlighted the achievements in the leadership and direction of the Steering Committee, the shortcomings and limitations, and proposed solutions to implement tasks in the coming time. The focus is on propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; the fight against false arguments on cyberspace regarding the leadership and direction of natural disaster prevention and control; inspection and supervision work; inspection, investigation, and handling of prominent corruption and negativity cases of public concern...

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Hau A Lenh, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity, agreed with the outstanding results achieved in the 9 months that the Steering Committee had assessed. He requested the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee - the Standing Office of the Steering Committee to absorb the opinions discussed at the meeting, complete the Steering Committee's report and submit it to the Provincial Party Committee for promulgation; at the same time, pointed out a number of limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome in the coming time.

Regarding the report of the Steering Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that member agencies and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee need to specify the direction and management of the Steering Committee, clearly indicate which tasks have been completed, which tasks have not been completed, the reasons, and who is responsible; clearly state the results achieved, the shortcomings and limitations, draw lessons learned, and solutions to overcome them.

Regarding the tasks for the last 3 months of the year, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Steering Committee to continue to thoroughly grasp, disseminate, and seriously implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity to cadres, party members, and the people, especially the Conclusions of the Central Steering Committee; closely follow the plan, functions, and tasks of the Steering Committee to coordinate in handling the case.

In preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, prevention is the main focus; political and ideological education and integrity education among Party members and officials, especially at the grassroots level, should be strengthened. Directing a focus on resolving complaints and denunciations, especially those related to Party members, and speeding up inspections and supervisions.

Review cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee; and backlog projects to find solutions to resolve them within a specific timeframe. Resolutely and methodically handle the inspection conclusions of the Central and the province in 2025...
