On the morning of October 12, Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien visited and worked with the Standing Committee of Dong Son Commune Party Committee on the implementation of tasks in the first 9 months of the year and the deployment of tasks in the coming time.

Reporting at the meeting, Party Secretary Nguyen Tuong Duy said that Dong Son commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of 5 administrative units: Binh Hiep, Binh Thanh, Binh Tan Phu, Binh Chau (belonging to Binh Son district) and Tinh Hoa commune (belonging to Quang Ngai city). The commune has a large population, abundant labor force, located in the planning of the Southeast Dung Quat Economic Zone and VSIP II, with advantages for industrial, trade and service development; owns a long coastline, beautiful beaches favorable for tourism development; has Sa Ky and Tinh Hoa ports suitable for developing marine economy and fishing logistics services.

In the first 9 months of the year, the total production value of the commune is estimated at 2,106 billion VND, equal to 85.5% of the yearly plan, up 6.04%. Of which, agriculture reached 1,180 billion VND, up 3.42%; industry - construction reached 462 billion VND, up 15.21%; trade - services reached 464 billion VND, up 4.50%. Budget revenue reached more than 1,835 billion VND, equal to 79.82% of the yearly plan.

The work of arranging and assigning cadres and civil servants in specialized departments and affiliated units is basically suitable to their professional and technical qualifications; facilities and equipment serving the work are invested in, ensuring smooth connection, effectively serving the work of digitizing records, resolving and looking up administrative procedures for the people.

After 3 months of implementing the 2-level local government, the commune has performed well the work of receiving citizens regularly, periodically and suddenly, ensuring the resolution of citizens' legitimate requests. The commune's Public Administration Service Center has received and resolved 7,326 records, of which 2,690 were online.

At the meeting, the commune leaders recommended that the province pay attention to investing, repairing, and arranging equipment for schools and medical facilities; increase the quota according to administrative units; apply the urban level instead of the plain commune level for state payroll; supplement the expenditure quota for environmental, defense - security, and economic careers; build a specific financial mechanism and policies to support the transformation of the socio-economic structure. At the same time, it is recommended that competent authorities consider the specific characteristics of the locality in assigning payroll quotas in accordance with reality; upgrade the civil status software and Molisa software.

Concluding the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Ho Van Nien acknowledged, commended and highly appreciated the results that Dong Son commune has achieved in the past time, especially the proactive and active application of digital transformation in performing tasks after the merger, serving the people's needs well.

He emphasized that the commune's potential is huge, and the commune has also identified these advantages. Therefore, in the coming time, the entire political system needs to join hands, be unanimous, and determined to implement the local socio-economic development goals; identify site clearance as a key political task, actively propagate and mobilize to create consensus among the people.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Commune Party Committee to focus on developing Party members, consolidating grassroots Party organizations, building a team of capable, responsible, and dynamic cadres in performing tasks; clearly assigning tasks, and taking work efficiency as a measure to evaluate cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
