On the morning of May 8, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh and leaders of a number of relevant departments and agencies inspected the model of a new rural residential area in An Hoa village, Duy Trung commune, Duy Xuyen district.
Directly surveying and discussing with households in An Hoa village, Duy Trung commune, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the efforts of the local government, the drastic participation of social organizations and the consensus of the people in building new rural areas. The results achieved are remarkable but require continuity and sustainability in each criterion, paying special attention to production organization activities, increasing income for people and protecting the landscape and environment so that people can enjoy the fruits of their labor.
According to local leaders, An Hoa village has 487 households with a total of 2,000 people. In 2023, the village's average income per capita reached more than 57 million VND, an increase of 5 million VND compared to 2020. Currently, An Hoa village has no poor households; the number of near-poor households accounts for 0.2%.
Thanks to the strong economic development, people's lives have improved significantly and rural infrastructure has been invested in and built spaciously. In 2021, An Hoa village was recognized by Duy Xuyen District People's Committee as meeting the standards of a model new rural residential area.
