Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh works with the Standing Committee of Khanh Son District Party Committee

On the morning of November 30, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee worked with the Standing Committee of Khanh Son District Party Committee on the implementation of political tasks, socio-economic development tasks in the first 11 months of 2024; directions and tasks of the locality in the last month of the year. Khanh Son District Party Secretary Bui Hoai Nam reported some outstanding results of the district in 2024.

In leading and directing socio -economic development, up to now, Khanh Son district has achieved many outstanding results such as: The district has met the criteria to escape from being a poor district, 1 year ahead of the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; the rate of poor households has decreased rapidly, to date in the district it is only 20.17%, near-poor households are 11.3%. Khanh Son has 2 communes Son Binh and Son Hiep meeting the standards for new rural construction, an increase of 1 commune and 1 year ahead of the target set by the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term; administrative reform is also a bright spot of the locality. By early November 2024, Khanh Son district had 25/35 targets achieved and exceeded the 2024 plan, of which 15 targets achieved from 101 to 250% of the plan, and 10 targets achieved from 74 to 99.9% of the plan.

Concluding the working session, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh commended and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and high results in leadership and direction of the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development tasks of the district in the first 11 months of 2024 of the District Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, and the Standing Committee of the Khanh Son District Party Committee. The Provincial Party Committee Secretary expressed his impression of the bright spots the district had achieved in 2024, especially the rapid poverty reduction work to help Khanh Son escape from a poor district; 2 communes met 19/19 criteria for new rural construction... Emphasizing that Khanh Hoa has great opportunities and chances to accelerate development, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh requested that Khanh Son district must fully exploit all potentials and advantages for rapid and sustainable development. After escaping from a poor district, it is determined not to let the poor district return but to develop into a well-off district, a rich district with its own internal strength; Urgently complete the District Regional Planning and detailed planning to have appropriate development orientations, exploiting the maximum potential of each region in the district. In the coming time, the district needs to determine the allocation of investment resources, must have a focus, key points, creating a driving force to promote local socio-economic development; exploiting the maximum potential and strengths for development. For the strength of agricultural development, the district needs to pay attention to the development of diverse crops with high economic value; for tourism development, the district has a lot of potential and room for development, the district needs to position and introduce to attract investors in the tourism sector, especially the strength of eco-tourism; preserve and promote traditional cultural values associated with tourism development. The locality needs to continue to quickly implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the district, striving to complete house repairs before the Lunar New Year 2025; this program must be completed by April 30, 2025 at the latest.

Regarding the preparation for the District Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh requested that the documents submitted to the congress must be built in the spirit of brevity, conciseness, practicality, and efficiency; in the economic structure of the district in the coming period, it is necessary to exploit the maximum potential to develop sustainable agriculture, exploit the space for tourism development to increase the proportion of services - tourism in the economic structure of the district; in the socio-economic development indicators, the district should boldly set out the target of increasing well-off and rich households. In addition, the locality needs to focus on innovating the Party's leadership method in the direction of: Concentrated form, practical content, drastic action, real efficiency; focusing on the breakthrough in evaluating cadres to be real. Regarding the work of preparing personnel for the congress, it is necessary to follow the correct procedures and regulations; the right person, the right job.

Provincial Party Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh also noted the recommendations of Khanh Son district to direct the provincial departments and branches to study and resolve issues related to: Policies for people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the area after Khanh Son district escapes from poverty; policies to support vocational education; upgrading the power grid, building Lo Gach bridge on Provincial Road 9...

On this occasion, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province Tran Thu Mai presented funding to support Khanh Son district in building 100 houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the district.
